RANCH RACE
- Clinic and Competition
When: 2011 - September 17 (Clinic) & 18 (Competition).
Where: El Pinal Rodeo Grounds,
Evergreen, CO.
What: A ranch trail course set up using natural obstacles when possible. Obstacles or situations you might encounter on the ranch. Judged on horsemanship, execution of obstacles, time and control. There will be Divisions for Open, Amateur, Green Rider, New- Green Horse (5 and Under) and Youth 12 and Under and Youth 13-18 - Plus a $15 Jackpot divided up 50/30/20. The clinic is an instructed time to learn and practice the obstacles that will be in the competition the next day - including a fun Jackpot at the end of the day!
Equipment: We will follow the equipment rules used by the AQHA. This includes riding two handed only on horses 5 and under in the open division. Boots with heels required, helmets required for under 18 and encourage for the rest!
Safety: This is of the utmost importance to us! Horse and rider safety is the main consideration when constructing the course. The course is double checked to be up to current safety standards by our judge. The ranch race is a fun time to get together with other horse people, learn a few things and enjoy the day!
Cost:
Clinic - $45 adults, $40 for youth. $15 Jackpot at end of Clinic judged by a select panel of judges!
Competition - $50 for the first class, $20 to enter the Open Division if already entered in another division.
Save $$$Early Entry: $10 off - MUST by received by Wednesday September 7th AND/OR get $10 off of your division entry for signing up for a volunteer shift for set-up, clinic or competition!

TRAIL RIDES
This is a great way to make sure you get out to all of our local parks.
When: Seasonal - Every other Wednesday ~10:00am ready to go,
-all dates weather permiting.
Where: Watch the website or email me for email reminders and updates about location.

What: Cross Country Pair Pace - ~ 2 mile course over ~24 jumps. Three divisions - A, B & C. A is a galloping pace, B is a cantering pace, C is a trotting pace, jumping is not required.
